NPM #11

Today I had to share another one of Karma Wilson’s poems from “Outside the Box” as yesterday’s example didn’t really highlight the cleverness of Diane Goode’s illustrations.  I think this is one of my favorite illustration motifs in the book.  She adds something to the text that isn’t there just from the poem alone.  It takes the concept and amplifies it in gloriously simple art work that looks like “scribbles” according to my husband.  And when I looked at it from his perspective (sitting beside me, seeing the book at a glance), I agreed.  BUT what magnificent scribbles to take on such shapes!
