As we were talking about enjoying the “little” things along the way yesterday, I thought I would share a poem from another favorite of mine.  This picture book is a few years older now, but it has a theme that makes me think all about my childhood playing in the forest in my backyard.  “Forest Has a Song” by Amy Ludwig Vanderwater and Illustrated by Robbin Gourley is a collection of poems told from a child’s point of view at play in the forest and appreciating the nature around her.  Today’s poem is all about a fern, April, and Spring.  I thought it was perfect to share today.
