Still on the theme of nature, today’s book is a collection of nature poetry that also shares nonfiction facts.  It is both art and teaching tool all at the same time.  “Dear Wandering Wildebeest: and Other Poems from the Water Hole” by Irene Latham, illustrated by Anna Wadham is full of fascinating animal facts and fun poetic experiments.  The poem I picked for today is one of my favorites as it plays with the Triptych form (and of course one of my favorite animals, the giraffe–I collected giraffes once upon a time as I related to them being as tall as I am).
