Merry Christmas! I swear I didn’t plan this, but I have finished my Holidoodle just in time! Granted it’s two days late, but it took a bit longer to finish. And I wanted to finish it well.
I went with a Hawaiian fish theme. Sadly all of the details I put into each fish (or sea star or sea turtle, etc.) won’t be noticed as they got shrunk down for the final image. Let me share a few of the pieces going into the final so you get an idea of what I’m talking about.
I admit I’m obsessed with Hawaiian fish and have studied them quite a bit over the years. It all started with my first snorkeling experience on Oahu (in Hanauma Bay).
This is a female spectacled parrotfish (one of my favorite pieces):
Another favorite of mine was the Raccoon Butterflyfish:
The baby sea turtle was a challenge with all of its detail:
But, without further ado, the final piece is here (a LOT more work than it looks in the end):
It was super fun, and I’m excited to see what the rest of you came up with!
I know Matt Lasley finished his and posted on Twitter.
Here is Carol Jensen’s final piece:
I know several others were still trying to finish too. Who else is done?
Lovely fish here, Jena. Merry Christmas and a wondrous New Year to you.
Thank you Marsha! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too. ❤️
