If we talk of the night, then we must talk of the moon.
“Moonstruck: Poems About Our Moon” is a fun collection of poems, edited by Roger Stevens. There are quite a variety of poems included here by poets I recognized and didn’t recognize. Even more interesting is that the only color is on the cover. The entire book is printed in black and white. I love that choice for this topic. It fits so well!
There were several poems I loved, but the one I will share today is my favorite. “The Moon is a Starfish” struck me as both odd, surprising, and freshly new. It certainly was a metaphor I had never thought of before. So I HAD to share it.
