“Up Verses Down: Poems, Paintings, and Serious Nonsense” is a collection of goofy poems and illustrations by Calef Brown. There is word play and whimsy, spectacle and spoof, and verbal riposte akin to Lewis Carroll (I dare to say). If nonsense poetry isn’t your thing, then this probably isn’t for you, but I would bet that kids would love it.
