ANIMALS IN PANTS is a poetry picture book that delivers exactly what it promises in the title: a variety of animals wearing pants. Yet it is impossible to describe the variety of pants, personalities, and funny moments contained therein. This is one you might just have to read for yourself to understand. Suffice it to say that there were SO many good poems here that made me laugh that I struggled (big surprise) to pick just one. I mean, I fell instantly in love on the very first page with the cat poem! Then there was a dog, a polar bear, a manatee, etc. I loved them all! So in the end, I decided to share the very first one and tempt you to read the rest, just as I was. Even better, the end papers hint at a possible sequel. OH, I do hope so! Because the combination of poetry and illustrations here is fan-tas-teek.
