Creative thoughts?

So I’m curious about a little something and want to ask you about it.

I’ve been reading Jacob Souva’s blog for some time now (or bits of it). While I read a lot of creators’ blogs and newsletters, his is one of my favorites because he gets into the deep thinky thoughts of creativity that makes me feel like I’m digging my fingers deep into the sand of it all too (in the most delicious way because I love talking and thinking about these things).

I just finished Julia Cameron’s “The Artist’s Way” book study for the first time ever (I swear I did it years ago but it turns out I never actually did! I read one of her other books!) and it’s made me realize a LOT about myself as a creator. I also read Austin Kleon’s book “Show Your Work” not that long ago and both have made me think about what I share of my own creative process. I really don’t. I used to a while ago, but I think with all of the social media dramas, platforms dying (and people hopping around), and AI (and the very real fear of my art work being stolen) that I kind of quit sharing all the little bits and bobs.

I’m not ONLY a book reviewer. I wear many hats (as you know if you’ve followed my blog for a while) and my creativity has been on quite a journey this year. Would you be interested in reading about some of that?

I’m serious. If I get a lot of comments here, I might consider posting about it more regularly. Are you just here for the book talk? Or do you want to get to know my thoughts on other things too, the pursuit of the creative craft? Just curious. 🙂
