Let’s keep talking about that glorious sunshine, shall we?
“The Sun Shines Everywhere” by Mary Ann Hoberman is another picture book as one whole poem. It rhymes and will appeal to young readers, but it also includes nonfiction matter about the sun. Even more, it is a joyous salute to celebrating diversity, a call to build community and care for our environment. That’s a LOT to cram into what seems like a simple poem!
It’s also illustrated by Luciano Lozano with adorable characters. I loved how many different ways the sun was depicted from page to page as the book progressed. As always, I struggled to pick just one page of this book to share, but this time it’s because I loved almost every single spread! I had three pages that really grabbed me but I think the one I share here is my favorite. I think. It’s hard to choose! Go read the book and tell me which is your favorite!

Wow, this looks fantastic! I can’t wait to read the whole story. Thanks for sharing. Congrats, Mary Ann!
