While the snow is beginning to melt, there is still ice everywhere. That only made it felt very appropriate to read this poetry collection by Douglas Florian about life in the polar regions.
ICE! POEMS ABOUT POLAR LIFE is a collection of poems written and illustrated by the hilarious and talented Douglas Florian. There is word play, a bit of nonfiction matter, and a whole lot of tongue-in-cheek here.
There were several poems I wanted to share, but I laughed the hardest at the one I picked to share today. It covers very familiar territory for me and I laughed long and hard at the illustration, let alone the poem. Naturally, I went with what tickled me the most.
