I do love an excellent collection of haiku and this space themed picture book is stellar (pun intended).
OUT OF THIS WORLD is a “star studded” collection of haiku written by Sally M. Walker with plenty of STEM related facts. And the illustrations by Matthew Trueman are incredible. They are a mixed media so I’m not entirely sure how they are done, but this is a book to savor as each new page revealed more and more wonders.
I tried to pick just one that could capture both the wonderful poetry and the beautiful art work. However, I think in the end I went with one of my favorite constellations. I always orient myself by Orion’s belt in the night sky first. This is a book you might just need to peruse yourself.
