Here is another glimpse of one of Joseph Coelho’s poetry picture books from the UK.

POEMS ALOUD is another collection of performance poetry.  These are wonderful fun for young readers with suggestions on how to act them out, read them to oneself, or just enjoy them the way they were meant to be heard.  I love the concept and applaud these types of poetry books that would be excellent for use in a classroom or just to enjoy alone at home.  I chose a poem that took time to stick.  It slowly crept up on me and wouldn’t leave me alone.  I love a poem that stays in my brain like that.  It’s a quieter poem and it also takes time to read.  In fact, the reader is encouraged to read it slowly by Joseph himself.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
