It’s another amazing poetry picture book from Douglas Florian!

Douglas Florian has done some amazing things with word play over the years and has a child-like multi-media approach in his illustrations that are charming. If you’re not familiar with his work, check out the previous times I’ve mentioned him on my blog. His author-illustrator poetry picture books are a great way for children to be introduced to poetry.

WINDSONGS is a collection of poems about the weather. His sense of humor, mixes with fact and play in the most amusing of ways. I picked one poem from the book that is one of my favorites.
