I did forewarn you that I was going to share some of David Elliott’s other poetry picture books.

IN THE WOODS came out in 2020 and we all know what happened to books that came out that year. SO I missed this one. I was delighted to delve into its depths, exploring critters familiar and unfamiliar to me, (we don’t have raccoons or opossums in Alaska). I love the illustrations by Rob Dunlavey. They’re soft and inviting. Again, as always, it’s hard to choose just one poem to share BUT I chose to share one of my favorites.
