Did you know that July 5th was National Hawaii Day?
I missed it by a day, BUT I was interviewed by Lynne Marie about my book to celebrate National Hawaii Day yesterday! AND there’s a giveaway for a critique. Go read it! In exchange, I will share some of my favorite pictures from my latest trip to Hawaii in March. Enjoy! <3

So happy to be able to celebrate this wonderful day with you! Thanks for sharing your book with #seasonsofkidlit!
Love this!! I’m so glad you got interviewed—happy Hawaii day!
Aww! Thanks Marci. 🙂
Glad you did this post! I really enjoyed reading and looking at the pictures. I loved the book store cat.
Your photos are amazing! It makes me want to be there. My favorite is the beach, looking out at all the blues. When we talk about favorite colors during the school year, I tell the kids in my class my favorite: periwinkle. They always giggle, then stare at me and make a face. When I show them, they say “oh, blue.” But it’s a great opportunity to talk to them about variation in color–which our art teacher talks about too. They don’t really know to look unless you plant the seed.
It must have been amazing to see your book for sale on the carousel! Congratulations!
Thank you! I have to share the Hawaii love. It’s a magical place full of beautiful colors. I didn’t even share all the pictures I hd picked out. Just enough to evoke the feeling of being there. So I’m glad to hear that worked!
Beautiful photos! And how fun to spot your book in the wild!
Thank you! It was super fun to spot in the wild. This was just one of those photos. 😉
