There’s a reason everyone is so enchanted with this book: it’s a art, music, poetry, and humor all wrapped into one!

ANIMAL ALBUMS FROM A TO Z is a poetry picture book written and illustrated by Cece Bell. Not only is it an alphabet book that she created all of the art and all of the writing for, but she decided to make each letter of the alphabet a different animal musician (or group). This covers the gamut of musical tastes from disco to beach boys and has a whole lot of fun expanding on each letter. Cece’s sense of humor just shines through this book with it’s intricate details. The album covers on each page have other songs I’d love to hear. And since you can’t see the backs of the albums in this layout, she’s included bios for each creator in the back.

BUT there’s even more! Cece got together with many of her literary friends and created actual music videos for many of these as well that can be found on YouTube. SO I decided to share one of my favorites along with the video (found here). Enjoy!
