Today is the last day for me to share poetry picture books and I saved a good one just for this.
Here in Alaska, it’s JUST starting to be spring. We’ve had a few glorious rain showers that have finally helped melt the snow and I can now see grass (even though it isn’t green yet). So today’s anthology seemed appropriate to share.
Let’s have another laugh today, shall we?
I was going to share about this book last year, but when it came time, I didn’t like the photos I’d taken. Then I won a copy after April has passed and I knew I would save it for this year.
Perhaps today’s book will surprise you as much as it did me.
I found this book last summer when I went to Connecticut on a work trip (back when we could travel). It was such a lovely and pleasant surprise that I had to save it just for this month.
Today’s picture book poetry collection is all about trees.
Here’s another collection of poetry that’s worth another look.
If you are a poet lover, this book is for you. If you are a jazz lover, this book is for you. If you are a vinyl lover, this book was designed to look like it’s for you too!
Today’s picture book is one I had to track down. I saw Sean Qualls’ dummy of it at the SCBWI LA Conference three summers ago and had forgotten to look it up until this year.
