Here is another fantastic poetry picture book habitat collection by David Elliott.

IN THE DESERT is the latest poetry picture book by David Elliott examining a habitat. This one focuses on the Sahara desert and all the creatures that survive and thrive there. The illustrations are lush paintings that accompany each poem with vibrant colors. This is quite a collection to behold. BUT then again, I love these books. I have mentioned many of them over the years.

I chose one of my favorite animals, not only because it’s one of my favorites, but because of the way it’s highlighted here. So amazingly well done. Enjoy!
