Bedtime poetry? Yes, please!

GOODNIGHT, STARRY NIGHT: BEDTIME POEMS INSPIRED BY WORKS OF ART is a poetry picture book collection where famous art becomes the subject for Joseph Coelho’s poems and also leads young readers to dreamland. There is a peaceful underpinning here that slowly winds like a lullaby through the book.

I’ve been fascinated by the interconnection between art and poetry for years (ever since I took one of my first college classes exploring the relationship). I’m delighted to find it here in a poetry picture book. Once again, I struggled to find just one poem to share, but in the end, I went with this one. Enjoy!
