THE BOOK OF CANDLES: EIGHT POEMS FOR HANUKKAH is a poetry picture book all about Hanukkah. This is a story of one child’s experience of the holiday, yet it feels universal as we the reader get to experience the holiday fresh and new with the main character.

It’s hard to pick just one night to share (each has its own delights), but I picked one of my favorites where everything goes topsy turvy. It’s such a sweet take on life’s typical mishaps and to see this family pivot is downright lovely.
